1,4 WARNING

Question:
What are the dangers associated with using 1,4?

WARNING - follows from users of 1,4 BD and has not been approved by the FDA.

Most users only take 1,4 Butanediol  as a nighttime formula at the bedside. While the normal dosage is around 1 ml per 140 lb of body weight, many of the positive benefits of 1,4 Butanediol can result from dosage as little as 0.5 ml per 140 lbs of body weight.  Users find that if they take more than 3 doses they do not receive any additional benefit and can do harm in that they are too relaxed to do normal daily tasks.  For example users do not drive during the first hour after taking low dose < 1ml per 140 lb of body weight of 1,4 Butanediol, and for any higher use it is best not to drive for four hours.

As a result of 1,4 Butanediols's strong relaxation effect, it may be difficult to be aroused; therefore, it is advisable to notify thosenearby that this is a natural result of using 1,4 Butanediol. Excessive serving amounts greater than 3 ml per 140 lb of body weight may result in dizziness, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, bed-wetting and minor muscle quivers.  1,4 Butanediol  MUST NOT be used:

  • With alcohol or with any Rx drugs
  • Prior to operating machinery or a motor vehicle
  • By anyone under twenty-one years of age
  • If pregnant or nursing
  • By those with any pre-existing medical condition unless under the direction of a physician who knows GHB.

IN THE EVENT OF AN OVERDOSE  **DO NOT PANIC**

Unless there is an extremely large overdose 8 to 15 ml of 1,4 Butane diol per 140 lbs of body weight or a mixture with other
substances like alcohol or CNS depressents there is usually no danger except from overzealous or misinformed medics.

  • Just make comfortable on side, let sleep.
  • Respiratory rate decrease is balanced by respiratory volume increase(Cheynes-Stokes cycle)
  • Heart rate decrease is likewise balanced by increased stroke volume.

If there is a large overdose and a mixture with other contraindicated substances then expert medical treatment from a team familiar with GHB and substance abuse is required to avoid the possibility of death. To put this in perspective, while there 106,000 emergency room incidents from tylenol overdose reported last year, there were only 60 from GHB.
